Tamara “La Garbancito” Carson<\/p><\/div>\n

A personal goal to share the rich tradition of Spanish dance, music, and culture has lead professional dancer,\u00a0Tamara La Garbancito to the national and international stage.\u00a0 Combined with intensive training in the flamenco style of dance\u00a0from \u201cAndalusian gypsies in Barcelona, Spain, La Garbancito have also received extensive training in ballet, modern folkloric, jazz,\u00a0and tap dance.\u00a0Tamara La Garbancito<\/em> is the stage name given to her by Madrid\u2019s world-renowned folkloric instructor, Don Juanjo\u00a0Linares.<\/p>\n

Her extensive performance resume includes work with American and international opera houses, symphonies, educational programs\u00a0as a dancer, choreographer, and director.\u00a0 Ever since her Barcelona days, Tamara has been committed to the profession of teaching\u00a0Spanish dance, to fulfill her personal goal of encouraging respect for the Spanish culture.<\/p>\n

As the founder and artistic director of Ol\u00e9 Music & Dance of Spain<\/strong>, Tamara has brought together a diverse group of talented\u00a0musicians and dancers who share her vision of bringing the passion and energy of flamenco to all communities. Dressed in native\u00a0Spanish costumes, La Garbancito and her company use castanets and footwork to demonstrate the very colorful and lively dance\u00a0\u00a0and music of Spain.<\/p>\n

Starting dance lessons at the age of 4, she has been training for over 40 years.\u00a0Her training has taken place around the globe, including:<\/p>\n
